Passion

Something I am passionate about is helping people because I just love to see people smile and be happy, it brightens up my day. Even if it means holding the door open or picking something up for someone it just makes me feel very important and helpful although, it can be something little. Something I have an interest is and greatly enjoy is singing, I love singing not only because I am good at it but because I love the way it makes me feel. I love expressing my feelings through music and actually feel the lyrics in my heart. Something I wish doing for the rest of my life is continuing to help people in different ways that I can, I want to leave this earth knowing that I made someone smile and made their day.

I actually want to become a nurse and being a nurse is where my passion lies. Nurses help people everyday, it is their job. Nurses can actually save you from a life and death situation and that is a big deal. As well as in a job, you are in a team with the whole company and you need to help each other all the time and make the job easier for yourselves. Currently, I work at a restaurant in Jamaican Plain and I am a cashier by doing this I am helping with the business and helping others with their hunger and as well I help my coworkers by prepping the food and helping them out with whatever they need.

To be completely honest, I would love to serve in the military. I do have a fear in war and of killing, in my mentality I don't believe anyone deserves to die but just the thought of sacrifice and helping the whole united states makes me want to do it. Just being involved has everything to do with being in the military, it is all about serving for America. A lot of good benefits come from the military as well, respect, honor, education  and a steady paycheck. I always been the kind of person to do things for others and I try not to think about myself. Even being a nurse can be very helpful to any and all my patients in the future.

Loving my passion

Follow the passion
passion where
an old woman is crossing
the street
run to make sure she makes it
to the end of that street

A homeless man ask for change
In return
give a bill
a look will be given to you
full of tears
the most grateful person ever here...

changing people's lives everyday
seeing everyone smile
so beautiful
violence all gone
just all peace

flowers start to grow
birds start to sing
sun starts to shine
laughter and happiness
ringing in our ears

be a helping hand
each day of your life
good things will happen
for you all the time

it is time to change the world
help our enemies
help our friends
for life is to short

  1. Kim,

Great poem! It's a great synopsis of your journal - a concise version of your collected thoughts. The tears of a homeless person - an touching vision. Powerful gratitude. Giving. I like the four line stanza's and the flow of each one. Very good work.

Your journal is interesting. Have you ever thought about becoming a nurse in the military? That may be one way to avoid combat, but yet you could be of great help and service.

I think that you have honest thoughts run all throughout your journal. At this point, I'd like to see a bit more. I'd like to see you run. Write more. Extend your thoughts and ruminations. Go a little deeper. Just let it flow. Don't overthink it, just give it, and see what comes out... See if you surprise yourself.
